Our story began back in 2013, when founders Chris and Andrew set out on a simple but ambitious mission: to brew amazing beer in small, flavour-packed batches and share them with the local community. From those humble beginnings, Batch Brewing Co. quickly became a cornerstone of Sydney’s vibrant Inner West brewing scene—and we’ve cherished every moment of our journey since.
Today, we’re proud to operate two dynamic venues, each uniquely dedicated to the art of beer-making and community connection. Our original brewery in Marrickville remains the heart and soul of Batch. It’s here, within our buzzing 10-barrel production space, that all of your favourite beers are crafted, tasted, and poured fresh. It’s not just a brewery; it’s a community hub where locals come together to explore our latest brews, enjoy tasting crates, grab a pint straight from the bar, or stock up on delicious takeaway cans and growlers. And because great beer deserves great food, there’s always something tasty to pair perfectly with your drink.
Our second venue, the Darling Square Taproom, brings Batch Brewing Co. right into the heart of Sydney’s bustling CBD. Located within the distinctive Exchange building, it’s the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a curated selection of our beers, alongside guest brews and carefully chosen wines. Surrounded by some of Sydney’s best food stalls, it’s an inviting spot to sip, savour, and socialise.
Quality and sustainability have always been at the forefront of everything we do. At Batch, exceptional beer begins with exceptional ingredients, which is why we partner with suppliers who care as deeply about quality and sustainability as we do. We proudly source premium raw materials grown and processed sustainably and regeneratively, supporting environmentally responsible practices. Our base malt comes from the Riverina region in NSW, reducing transport emissions, while solar power and carbon offsets help minimise our environmental footprint. We’re also serious about recycling and repurposing waste wherever we can.
Yet, at Batch, beer is about more than just ingredients or techniques—it’s about community. Giving back and staying connected to the people who’ve supported us is deeply important to us. Each year, we proudly support charities nominated directly by our customers and our team, as our heartfelt way of saying thank you.
