In A Pickle!
Cucumber and Sorachi Ace Sour
Malt: Gladfield Pilsner, Wheat, Flaked Wheat, Acidulated
Hops: Sorachi Ace
Yeast: Lactobacillus, American Ale
Style: Fruit Sour
Well this is a right kerfuffle we have ourselves in......again! The most polarizing beer Batch has ever produced is back out! Why did we do it? Well, we love hearing your thoughts on this beer (and people are quite vocal!), and quite frankly it was just time to throw in the king of fruit (cucumbers) into a batch again! Their refreshing aroma and slightly earthy flavour lend themselves nicely to our tart sour. On top of that, in went some Sorachi Ace hops. Known for smelling intensely of dill, these green and herbaceous hops pair nicely with the wild character of the cucumber. Cucumber, sour, dill...they are the perfect ingredients for a pickle beer! The only pickle you'll find yourself in, however, is whether to have one or two more.
